生物学研究 Opportunities at Harvey Mudd College

The HMC 生物学研究 Program has a number of projects to get involved in. Summer research students in 生物学 are generally expected to work full-time for 10 weeks during the summer. The exact starting and ending dates are stipulated by the faculty advisor. This is a 10-week full-time (40 hrs/week) research experience. 因此, students should not also enroll in summer courses.

除了, all summer research students must agree to present a poster at the HMC Summer 研究 Celebration in September.

Stipends for summer research students are expected to be approximately $5,000.

Application Process

1. Review the projects at Undergraduate 研究 Opportunities. This is a college-wide site, so the projects here include many areas in addition to biology.
2. Fill out an application on that same site for the project(s) that interest you.
3. Talk to relevant biology faculty about the biology project(s) that interest you.
4. 提交这个 summer research application. This is a biology-specific form where you will rank your interest in different projects thereby helping the 生物学 Department assign students to projects in the best way.
